Gasthaus Zum Schwan in Castell

The owner of the Gasthaus Zum Schwan now runs the guest house as a bed and breakfast hotel [breakfast and evening snacks on request], after taking over the "Iphöfer Kammer" some time ago [top regional cuisine]. The Gasthaus Zum Schwan has not lost any of its charm. Breakfast is still freshly prepared [eggs, apples, pears, etc. come straight from the farm]. In the evening you can get a nice snack on request - various wines are in the fridge of the inn for self-service. The rooms are nicely furnished and always clean. All in all a great place to stay with a family atmosphere! Always happy!

The restaurant has been closed for a long time. The room is not cleaned. The hotel is not illuminated in the evening. Breakfast is modest. A lifeless hotel without a guide.

We very much regret the closure of the restaurant. Again and again we enjoyed the hospitality, food and drink as well as the excellent service. we wish the whole team all the best and hope to see us again in another place.

Unfortunately, there was only one vegetarian dish at our company Christmas party. Salad with leek quiche. In my opinion the price was too high.

Delicious food, top cuisine

Room was ok. Wirtsstube has seen better times .. Small TV in the room; Bottle of water on the table. Dog is billed according to "degree of contamination" - whatever that means ... Fixed dinner time allocated; Breakfast on Monday morning! NOT BEFORE 8.15h ("... before 8am, no one is here ...") On the breakfast plate on the breakfast table were 4 slices of sausage and a slice of cheese for 4 rolls ... Egg you could order .. Belongs to the 900 best restaurants in Germany .... Mmh ... Price 1 night 2 persons with dog: called 80 Euro - paid 98! Euro..

Great food, nice service! Looks a bit old-fashioned in the entrance area, but it's definitely worth it.

Here you can really excellent prepared and fresh dishes. However, you have to bring some time. We waited exceptionally long.

Very good kitchen. Very nice staff. But wait an hour to eat, although only six tables occupied, as well as 14 € for a hand full of pasta !!!!! ????? That's why 2 points deduction.

Very hospitable house. Excellent friendly, attentive and accommodating. Kitchen staff obviously talented and in love with detail. Tasty, nutritious and healthy at the same time. And also fast. Keep it up! Full 5 stars!

Such a nice surprise!

By chance, we came there at noon and turned. We ate great, very good value for money, and although busy (birthday party etc.), the service was friendly and attentive. I will go back when I'm in the area.

We landed here by chance, because the wine festival we wanted to visit was hit by a heavy thunderstorm. The food is very good and the menu is varied. The service is very courteous and the prices are moderate for the quality of the food. Great recommendation. You should reserve though!

Have kept in transit and really extremely good. Host and the service very friendly. Price / performance more than consistent. Anytime again, a must if you are in the area.

Incredibly well eaten. The asparagus risotto was perfect with the veal cutlets. Oyster and taste very far vornel. Only five minutes from the highway. It is worthwhile to come here.
